I have struggled with weight gain for a long time and finally asked for help .

The training staff at Shapes helped me lose fifty five pounds . My plan is to continue w/ my lifestyle change of watching my food intake and am exercising regularly .I feel great and look a lot better . I look forward to a long relationship with my new friends at shapes . Bill

I joined shapes with the intentions of changing my lifestyle to a healthier one, and of coarse, to lose weight.  I have had two children in the past 6 years, and have had limited time to focus my attention on myself.  Being in my mid 30’s, I wanted to feel better about myself and have more energy.  I decided to sign up with a personal trainer to assist me with my goals.  Since then, I have seen a steady improvement in my fitness level, strength, energy, and self esteem!  Melissa pushes me harder during our sessions, than I would push myself.  I leave the gym feeling an amazing sense of accomplishment, and my motivation to exercise on my own has really improved.   During each session, Melissa provides me with a variety of exercises, and I am always learning something new.  This is important to me because I get bored easily, leading to discouragement and eventually giving up.  I am even motivated to change my eating habits in order to see the changes happen more quickly.  I plan to continue with my sessions with Melissa, as I am seeing such a positive outcome, and I feel that I am in better shape than I have been in a long time!  Thanks to Shapes, but especially to Melissa for changing my life for the better!

Dear Shapes,
 
I workout at both Shapes Co-ed on Nairn & Pembina (mostly Nairn), as at times it is more conducive for me to workout at one rather than the other due to the proximity of my work at the time (I own & operate two businesses). Shapes offers the diversity that I need both with regards to the variety of equipment present and the long hours of operation; two areas that I find crucial to coincide with my heavy workout regimen and my extremely busy and ever changing schedule. In less than a year, I have lost 23lbs, 4% body fat, and three waist sizes. The pictures that I am sending you, however, will reflect only the difference from September 24th, 2008 (163lbs, 32W, 10% body fat), to present (157lbs, 30W, 8% body fat). The bottom line is that I chose Shapes three years ago as my gym, and will continue to make it my "home away from home". By the way, the steam room & full size lockers at Nairn are added bonuses!
